Ok God, I Just Don't Get It
Being raised in a Christian environment, naturally, I accepted Christ and sought to know God through religion. After having given religion an honest try, I still found that I was no closer to knowing God. I read books, listened to others and exhausted every available means to know God on a more personal level.
After years of seeking to fill the void in my life, I turned to the source of it all – God. I used the techniques of others and did find many helpful avenues to God; but I found that to know God personally, I had to experience Him personally. He reveals Himself to us individually – there is not one path that works for everyone. God chooses the path that works best for each of us. I find that religion can be a good starting point, but more is needed if we are to know God personally.
God chose to reveal Himself to me mostly in writing. He has shared thoughts and ideas with me which were beyond my comprehension at the time. God gave me lessons which hopefully will help others learn as I have.
In a shocking whirlwind of typing after being told to write, God gave me five books within three months. The books are a compilation of lessons which were given using my personal experiences as the background. This is the first book of the five and I hope that you will find that God does reveal Himself to us in our daily lives. It is up to us to seek and find the messages of God in every experience of our lives.
By offering my experiences to you, I hope that you develop a level of awareness that brings God to you by demonstrating that whether we know it or not, God is with us always. Seeking isn’t necessary – we need only be aware of His presence.

What If The Bible Were Written Today
God’s teachings were given to me quickly in five books, of which this is book two. This book offers an exploration of how our beliefs may be antiquated and in need of updating.
Generally, we either take the Bible at face value or pick out the parts that suit our purposes. Reading the Bible, time and again, brings to light that much has changed in our world since its words were originally written. Seldom do we realize that the words were either passed down verbally or at least filtered through the authors who actually put the words in writing.
The Bible is certainly the greatest document of all times. This is without question, yet it does offer an outdated view of society and does greatly offer a somewhat menacing portrayal of God. God wishes for us to have a more personal relationship with Him. If our basis of respect is purely fear, then we will not allow ourselves to freely go to God and explore all that He has to offer.
God is only love, not the judgmental and vengeful God, as is often portrayed in the Bible. If we fear God, we will never know God. If we hold fast to our fear-based Biblical teachings, we will never know the true magnificence of God or ourselves.
We must reconsider our understandings about God and all things spiritual, including ourselves. Spiritual mastery is almost impossible if we are unable to open our minds to the vastness of God’s loving potential.

If You Were God, What Would You Do
Mankind has a tendency to place judgments upon God. These judgments are based on our perceptions of how we think God behaves. We hold a composite view of God based on the teachings of others, generally using the Bible as our guide. We often superimpose our motivations on God believing, as He created us, so is He. What if our preconceived notions about God are flawed and God is actually very different from the God of our perceptions?
We cannot simply know God as He truly is as He is beyond our comprehension. We must seek to gain knowledge about Him directly from Him. We must let go of our former beliefs and be open to God’s revelations about Himself. God chooses for us to know Him and to develop a personal relationship with Him. Only by more fully understanding Him and His motivations, can we truly advance in our spiritual quest to know God.
God tells us He is only love and that love is all there is. We find this difficult to understand, seeing life filled with so many unloving acts and conditions. It is not until we look at life from God’s perspective, or as much as we can, that we can even begin to understand that love is really all there is.
When first we think a circumstance tragic, from God’s perspective, we see it is an invaluable learning tool sent to us specifically for the advancement of our souls. We see that God has given each of us free will to fully explore our creative potential and to experience life to the fullest. It is from bad that we fully know good, from hate that we fully know love and from selflessness that we can fully know ourselves as God intends.

If God Worked Where You Do
Bringing peace to His people is God’s only business. Current business trends cause employees to feel that peace is impossible. We seldom take into account the effects of our employment on our lives. We have shifted from single to double breadwinner households, just to make ends meet.
Not only are our children affected, our entire lives are affected by the additional stresses of our work based lifestyles. We complain about rising health care costs, but don’t associate the increases with out stressful lives. Employers require more and more of every employee with most employees nearing the breaking point. Customer service and employee satisfaction are at an all time low. Loyalty of both employer and employee is almost non-existent. This translates to poor customer service which in turn affects our profit margins.
A return to properly valuing our employees will bring forth cost reductions which we failed to calculate into our overly intellectualized management strategies. A satisfied employee lowers health care, hiring, legal, training, lost sales, insurance and other related costs. Satisfied employees create satisfied customers. Take care of your employees and they will take care of your customers. If you think that customers are number one, try running a business without employees.

Leaving I Behind
The most dramatic step toward God is when the person chooses to leave the self behind and join completely with the All. In book five of God’s teachings, He demonstrates that we are all one in the same and should behave accordingly if we truly wish to be more Godly. Leaving I behind is the step the seeker of God takes when leaving selfishness and ego in the past and moving toward total unity of purpose with all others. Until selfish motives are left behind, unity with God is not possible. God sees everyone equally and so must we if we are to truly know God.
As children, we are ego-centric and believe that the world revolves around us. As we mature, we learn that the world is full of people just like ourselves and that we must have a more broad view of life. As we grow spiritually, we learn that selfishness has no place in our lives and that we must enjoin ourselves with the whole in order to find the unlimited vantage point of God. Seeing life as through God’s eyes allows us the only hope for true freedom available to mankind. True freedom only comes through the unselfishness of unity. Once a person can step outside of self, the whole world does take on a different perspective – a perspective that demonstrates that all are equal and each is simply doing what is right for them.
Our preconceived notions about what is right or wrong are based on our own experiences and should not be imposed on others. God has given each of us free will to do as we see fit and it is not our place to judge others. Without judgment, we are truly free and become more Godly and are thusly able to walk in spiritual mastery.
