What would you do for the promise of success? Would you sell your soul? Would you give up yourself for the desired success? Were it necessary, would you take away success from another to promote your own? Consider carefully the true value that you place on worldly success. To what degree does it control your every thought? This is one great motivation in your life which you have underestimated. You have kidded yourself about your truest desires. You have said that comfort and security are all that you desire, but has there ever been enough for you to feel secure and comfortable?
“My wisdom is for the knowing for those who dare to ask. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. As surely as you have sought to know Me, you shall. There is never any harm in asking. I gave you free will and I fully intend for you to use it even to question Me. Your questions have been asked before and have been answered before. Man seems to have a great need to understand, but can’t help but inflect his understanding on My words. Thus, the confusion. When man gets My wisdom, he cannot comprehend it, so he puts his spin on it. Just as you can’t understand why there is suffering in the world, you assume that I am not in the world. It’s like a first grader trying to understand college calculus. What sort of interpretation might be had if we tried this example? Man assumes that he is smarter than he is and tends to believe that there is a basic scientific explanation for everything. Science has its place, but it really doesn’t explain the spiritual things of God."
Is there ever a time in life when you have felt truly satisfied? Was there a time when you felt that you were well within your plan? If not, then the path you are on is not your chosen one, although you have chosen this to bring you to where you should be. So, how do you get to where you should be? Your efforts have failed repeatedly – so now try mine. Let yourself go into the wild world of day dreaming. If there could be imagined no obstacles, what would you do? Let your most vivid dreams unfold so that you can know yourself truly. Ask yourself only for honesty – for by being honest will you know yourself truly. Listen for the calling of your heart without the pounding of fear. Let go of your anxieties and worry not about the hows and whys. Be clear to listen and not tell your heart what is inside. Only honest listening doth reveal the very truth inside.
How can it be
That it is called good When all who know Would not describe it so For the greatest among men Was destroyed in so vile And awful public display His friends deceived Him And turned Him over to them Who would carry out the acts Which were hoped to keep Him mute For to be too popular Was the greatest sin of all Deserving of a public fall Showing the mortality Of the One worshipped as God But in hindsight Looking at good from bad We do ascertain the benefit Of having allowed the killing Of the One true saint Who took the experience Of the crucifixion To allow the resurrection To demonstrate His perfection This gave hope to us all That we shall live after the fall Once you learn to control your behaviors, then you learn to control your thoughts. Control in this sense is not really control per se, but a conscious choice to change your behaviors and your thoughts. Being more aware of what you do and why you do it help you to analyze and decide if the things you think and do are actually the things that you choose to think and do. A change in focus does offer you the alternate vantage point from which to garner your perspective. If one day you see yourself as a poor worthless servant, then your thoughts and behaviors will reflect this perspective. Your actions follow your thoughts. Your thoughts follow your perspective. Your perspective follows your experiences. You do not come into this life with a particular perspective. Your experiences cause you to believe as you do about yourself and all of life. Two people having the same lives can have vastly different experiences.
Can you even imagine the grandeur that is you? Have you ever stopped to realize how great you truly are? You are so busy trying to be great that you have lost sight of what you truly are. Don’t be so captivated by what the world might think of you. Instead think of how truly great you are – right now, this minute. Think for a minute of what you are – you child of God. Think of the kindness that is within you. You are not the person whom you imagine the world thinks you are. You know who you are. Be honest with yourself. Evaluate yourself on God’s scale and see the beauty, love and kindness. You are wisdom, experience, and love. You have sought always better for yourself and for others. You have given greatly of yourself. Be glad for all that you are. Celebrate!
To whom the message is given, it was chosen and will be received. Fear not the effects of your work for you have been called merely to deliver. You are not called to convince.
How can we put our lives to good use?
A loving experience will always be considered a good use. Let your life be one of loving experiences. Teach others to be more loving. Even if love is selfish, it is still loving. If you truly love yourself, you will be more loving toward others. All things are meant for your soul’s development. Understand this and the process becomes clearly painted on your mind. Once you let go of expectations and judgments, then you can see life unfold before you. You can see that all is a well-oiled machine – not the random series of events that you seem to think is your life. Were there no plan for your life, then all would certainly flow more smoothly. If you know that the plan is in place and working, you know that you can let go of the wheel and leave the driving to God. This change in perception does create a far more peaceful experience and does free your mind to focus on more loving pursuits.
To know God is to look beyond the temporal and hold fast to the eternal. God is not here today and gone tomorrow. God does not appear and disappear. God merely is – changeless forever. What faith could you have in something that changes? Does God write a law today that holds no truth tomorrow? One must truly look beyond for the eternal – do not try to find God where He is not.
